Take a sea excursion
Brittany is also best enjoyed from the sea. From the Vannes ferry terminal, numerous destinations await you. A cruise can take you to discover the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan.
Beautiful walks await you, for example, on the Île d'Arz or the Île-aux-Moines. Whether on foot or by bike, they will allow you to enjoy magnificent panoramas.
Admire the Carnac Alignments
Among Brittany's most iconic sites are the Carnac Alignments, the largest megalithic concentration in the world. You only have 30 km to travel to discover these 3,000 menhirs, over 6,000 years old. You will enjoy admiring the sites of Ménec, Kermario, and Kerlescan, which are among the most beautiful alignments in the concentration.
Explore the Gavrinis Cairn
Head to the port of Larmor Baden and let yourself be carried away on a cruise to the island of Gavrinis. There you will discover a remarkable prehistoric site: the Gavrinis Cairn.
Take a trip back to the Neolithic era to learn a great deal about the region's past. The engravings, the dolmen, and the entire cairn are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spending a day with the family
Around our hotel in the heart of Vannes, you'll find plenty of family-friendly activities. We recommend visiting Branféré Park, which you can reach in 30 minutes.
Nearly 150 animal species roam freely across 45 hectares, divided into 4 distinct zones. These zones immerse you in the atmosphere of the 5 continents and teach you more about their flora and fauna.
At our hotel reception, you'll find tickets for Branféré Park available for purchase.
Explore the medieval town of Auray
When you visit Auray, just 15 minutes from Vannes, you'll discover its pedestrianized district, the Saint-Goustan. Stroll through its gardens, wander along the Loc'h River, and relax on a terrace.
It was in this district, in the port that bears his name, that the American statesman Benjamin Franklin landed in 1776.
